Our co-founder Emily Whitehead has been listed among Nature's 10 people who mattered in science this year! The journal's annual list names ten people who have played a significant role in a few of the year's most impactful scientific discoveries and events.

This Sunday, December 3, Oakland Raiders long snapper Jon Condo will take to the field wearing a custom pair of cleats in support of the Emily Whitehead Foundation.

Team EWF Raises $34k at 2017 Philadelphia Marathon

Over the weekend of November 18 and 19, we attended the 2017 Philadelphia Marathon. There, we had the honor of cheering on our team of 35 runners as they participated in the various races on behalf of the Emily Whitehead Foundation.

An Update from Tom Whitehead: Meeting Gregory

Two weeks ago I received a message from parents who were at the CHOP Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Their infant son Gregory was on the ventilator from the storm after receiving the T-cell treatment that cured Emily. We set up a call and they said that they just wanted to talk to someone who witnessed their child go through this brutal storm when the T-cells are battling the cancer.

Boston CAR-TCR Summit Raises $6k for Emily Whitehead Foundation

This week marks a huge milestone for pediatric cancer research. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced Wednesday that is has approved Novartis CAR-T cell therapy CTL019—now Kymriah—for pediatric patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL)!

On August 11-12 UMI Performance, Inc. hosted their UMI Performance Cruise In & Autocross. Proceeds from the event's bake sale and t-shirt sale benefitted EWF, which Minnesota-based Viking Performance, Inc. then generously matched to bring the total raised to $2500!

FDA Advisory Committee Unanimously Votes ‘YES’ to Pending Approval of CAR-T Cell Therapy CTL019

On Wednesday, July 12 the FDA's Oncologic Drugs Advisory Committee convened at a meeting to discuss the pending approval of CAR-T cell therapy CTL019. Our co-founders were present at the meeting, and Tom Whitehead spoke.

3rd Annual “Tee Off for T-Cells” Golf Tournament Raises Over $58,000

On Friday, July 14 we held our third annual "Tee Off for T-Cells" charity golf tournament at Philipsburg Elks Lodge & Country Club in Philipsburg, Pa. In the last three years, "Tee Off for T-Cells" has now raised more than $150,000 for pediatric cancer research.
