Second Annual “Tee Off for T-Cells” Golf Tournament Raises $60,800

On Friday, July 15, 2016, we held our second annual “Tee Off for T-Cells” charity golf tournament at the Philipsburg Elks Lodge & Country Club in Philipsburg, Pa. Thanks to the contributions and effort put in by all involved, the event raised a total $60,800.

PHILIPSBURG, Pa. – July 3, 2016 — The second annual "Tee Off for T-Cells" charity golf tournament is set to take place at the Philipsburg Elks Lodge & Country Club on Friday, July 15, 2016. The event, held by the Emily Whitehead Foundation, will bring together community members and golfers, including local sponsors and special guest celebrity athletes, to raise money for pediatric cancer research.

Celebrating 4-Years Cancer Free!

T-Cell Therapy: 4 Years and 100 Patients Later

As of this week, it has been four years since Emily received her T-cells. Emily was the first pediatric patient to receive T-cell therapy, and we are happy to report she was not the last.

Philipsburg, Pa (Jan. 27, 2015) – Nearly three years after being the first child in the world to receive an experimental T-cell therapy at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) to save her from a life-threatening cancer, nine-year-old Emily Whitehead and her parents launch the Emily Whitehead Foundation.
