CAR-T Cell Therapy Receives Approval in Europe
On August 27, the European Commission announced that Novartis CAR-T cell therapy Kymriah has been approved to treat pediatric and adult patients with relapsed/refractory acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and relapsed/refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) in Europe.
UMI Autocross & Cruise-In Event Supports EWF
On August 10-11, we joined up with UMI Performance Inc. to host a bake sale and 50/50 drawing at the 7th Annual UMI Autocross & Cruise-In event in Clearfield, PA. In just two days, proceeds totaled to $2,500, later matched by Viking Performance to donate a total $5,000 to EWF.

It was on this day six years ago that we learned the T-cell therapy had not only saved Emily's life, but also left no evidence of leukemia cells. She was free of cancer, and Kari and I didn’t have to find out what it would be like living without our only daughter.

Emily Whitehead Foundation Contributes $250,000 to SU2C Sharp Awards
The Emily Whitehead Foundation has contributed $250,000 to SU2C's Phillip A. Sharp Innovation in Collaboration Awards. The grant will be split into increments of $125,000 for awards in 2018 and 2019, each supporting further research of pediatric cancer immunotherapy treatments.
Take Down Cancer: 3rd Annual Wrestling Event Raises Over $13,700
