On March 9, we attended Life Sciences Pennsylvania's 2017 Annual Dinner in Philadelphia. The Emily Whitehead Foundation was invited as a finalist for LSPA's 2016 Patient Impact Award, which recognizes a company or organization that has made a significant contribution to the quality of healthcare or length of life of patients in 2016.
The award was presented to Jefferson Health System for their on-demand care service, JeffConnect. Runners up included Merck & Co., Inc. in addition to the Emily Whitehead Foundation.
We had a great night joined by our team of dedicated volunteers, who are currently hard at work planning the inaugural Emily Whitehead Foundation Believe Ball. Also joining us was T-cell patient Nicole Gularte, whose nomination qualified the Emily Whitehead Foundation as a finalist for the Patient Impact Award.
