Over the weekend, on August 11 and 12, we attended the UMI Performance Cruise In & Autocross — a 2-day autocross event and car show hosted by Philipsburg manufacturer of muscle car suspension systems UMI Performance, Inc.
Proceeds from the event's bake sale and t-shirt sale benefitted the Emily Whitehead Foundation, which Minnesota-based Viking Performance, Inc. then generously matched to bring the total raised to $2500!
The UMI Performance Cruise In & Autocross is an annual event held in our local Philipsburg, Pa. and has donated to the Emily Whitehead Foundation each year it has been held. This year was the first that included autocross.
Special thanks to Christina and Chris King from Viking Performance, Inc. for their additional donation, to UMI Performance Inc.'s Ryan Kirkwood and Ramey Womer for pulling this event together, and to all the volunteers, participants and attendees for their contributions!
