Emily Whitehead, our (favorite) co-founder, recently took to Facebook to say hello and share a few updates!
On January 21, Emily wrote to let everyone know about an upcoming routine appointment at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She also shared a few of her favorite things and assured everyone that our canine co-founder, Lucy, was great as well!
The next day, following her appointment at CHOP with Dr. Stephan Grupp, Emily shared the great news that “the bloodwork looked good and everything was perfect”. She went on to mention that a lump on her chin was recently discovered and identified as a rare, but benign, Masson’s Tumor. The tumor was removed but may require surgery if it grows back. Otherwise, Emily is healthy and remains 4 1/2 years cancer free!
In both Facebook updates, Emily teased our upcoming BIG announcement. Subscribe to our newsletter or follow the Emily Whitehead Foundation on social media to learn about it first—to be shared soon!
