On August 10-11, we joined up with UMI Performance Inc. to host a bake sale and 50/50 drawing at the 7th Annual UMI Autocross & Cruise-In event in Clearfield, PA.

The event had a really fun atmosphere filled with many generous folks, and we had a great laugh when the announcer and timing guys battled back and forth to see who could eat the most brownies and buy the last one. In just two days, proceeds from the bake sale, drinks, and 50/50 totaled to $2,500!

UMI Performance, Inc. has benefitted the Emily Whitehead Foundation with this event for the last several years, which we have enjoyed attending. The event itself has grown and moved this year to the newly opened UMI Motorsports Park.

In addition to the $2,500 raised by the bake sale, Viking Performance contributed a matching $2,500 donation, creating a total of $5,000 benefitting the Emily Whitehead Foundation.

Viking's Chris King says, “Emily’s story was amazing and we hope this contribution helps further the research so more kids can have the same outcome. “

UMI’s Ryan Kirkwood adds, “Vikings generosity shows just how much the motor sports community cares about these important causes. Viking and UMI performance are great partners in the motor sports business and we are honored that they chose to contribute to this worthy cause. UMI looks forward to continuing the fight against pediatric cancer until it is gone."

Along with supporting the Emily Whitehead Foundation, the event raised an additional $3,200 for ALS research.

Special thanks to UMI’s Ryan Kirkwood and Ramey Womer for generously choosing to support EWF, as well as Viking Performance and all the volunteers, participants and attendees for their contributions!
