On February 6, 2018, local Philipsburg-Osceola and Clearfield high school wrestling teams met in a dual-meet at Clearfield Area Senior High School for the third annual "Take Down Cancer" event.

For one night, students, faculty and community members from the two rival high schools united in support of the Emily Whitehead Foundation. As in the years prior, the evening included a basket raffle, silent auction, 50/50 drawing, and a bake sale. All proceeds, including those collected from ticket sales, t-shirt sales, and concessions, went toward the total raised.

During a brief intermission, Tom, Kari and Emily were presented with a check for $13,759.87. In the last three years, the annual event has raised more than $47k for EWF!

The match itself was an exciting victory for Philipsburg-Osceola, as the visiting team defeated Clearfield 42-31.

Many thanks to the Clearfield and Philipsburg-Osceola wrestling clubs and community members for a great night, coming together to take down and activate the cure for childhood cancer!
