On Saturday, March 18 we teamed up with Left Right Repeat to hold the PI Day 5K Benefiting Emily Whitehead Foundation at Circleville Park in State College, Pa. Despite postponement due to inclement weather, the rescheduled Pi Day event was a success — and runners who braved the cold were still greeted at the finish line with a slice of pie!
We were also joined virtually by a handful of runners participating from afar, as virtual runners from 15 states across the U.S., Canada, and even Australia took on the Pi Day 5k challenge, sharing their experience with us through social media.
Thanks for helping us #activatethecure from down under! | #Repost @aunger04 with @repostapp ・・・ Very grateful to be able to support an organization so close to my heart, even from across the world. There was no snow in Australia tonight so my virtual PI Day 5K of 3.14 miles to benefit the @ewhiteheadfdn went as planned! We currently have Virtual Runners participating in the PI Day 5K Benefiting Emily Whitehead Foundation from 15 states across the US, as well as Canada and of course Australia! Despite the event’s postponement due to weather in the US, it’s not too late to help us fill in the map! Online registration will remain open until Thursday at 4pm!🎗
